The Brief

(01)

A premium monitor for programmers — and a brief to make it feel that way.

BenQ came to us with a clear objective: create a 3D animated video that positions the RD Series as the premium monitor for professional programmers. The product is genuinely exceptional — a 3:2 aspect ratio built for coders, a Fine-Coated anti-glare panel, Coding Mode with dark and light themes, Eye Care technology with Circadian Mode, and the signature Moon Halo backlight. The challenge wasn’t what to say. It was how to show features that live in the experience of using the monitor, not on the surface of it.

The Work

(02)

We built the environment the product deserves.

The creative direction centered on a single setting: a dark, modern home office where a young professional codes late into the night. That environment wasn’t a backdrop — it was the point. It let the Moon Halo glow against the darkness, it made the Fine-Coated panel’s anti-glare properties visible, and it gave every feature a reason to exist on screen. We modeled the RD280U in 3D, animated each feature reveal with deliberate pacing, and wrote a voiceover script that moved through the product without sounding like a spec sheet. The 45-second film was delivered in 4K, with an end card showcasing the full RD Series lineup — RD280U, RD280UA, RD320U, RD320UA — against the tagline: Crystal Clear, Entirely Focused.

The Result

(03)

A product that couldn’t be photographed — made cinematic.

The finished video gave BenQ NA a hero asset that does what static images can’t: it shows the RD Series in the context where it was built to perform. The Moon Halo fills the frame. The coding environment breathes. The features reveal themselves in the sequence a programmer actually cares about. From brief to delivery in nine weeks, the full production — modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, rendering, compositing, and sound design — was handled entirely in-house.
